This entire area has clear advantages when it comes to trekking. A trek from the resort to Bhoothankettu along the river through dense forest takes about 6 hours. A distance of around 20 km.

Whispering Waters has an inseparable link with ‘Paniely Poru’. With that in mind, the graphic part of the logo was designed to explain in a simplistic way; the very nature of the ‘Poru’. It represents the large cavities in the rocks where water is sucked-in and gushed out, to re-enter into another rock cavity.

When my husband suggested Whispering Waters as a weekend retreat, I was a bit worried about the time it would take to get there. Of course I didn’t know where Paniely Poru was located. When we reached, I was pleasantly surprised that it took only about an hour and a half to reach this amazing riverfront resort from Kochi. The food and the quality of the room were excellent. It is rare to find such wilderness so close to the city of Kochi.

Thanks ‘Whispering waters’ for a marvelous stay. As women travelers myself and my friend Michelle have experienced lack of privacy at most of the places we have stayed. This place has been quite different. As women, we received the respect as well as the privacy we seek when we stay at resorts. The atmosphere here at this riverfront resort is absolutely romantic, and the food served was exquisite.
